Now Introducing: Madison Butler!

Lavender Menace is thrilled to announce a new addition to our talent roster: Madison Butler (she/her)! Madison is a keynote speaker, author, educator, and culture strategist known for challenging the traditional playbook of corporate leadership. She brings a bold, human-first perspective to the workplace—one that centers authenticity, psychological safety, and the emotional realities of being “human at work.” Through unfiltered honesty and relatable storytelling, Madison empowers people to show up fully as themselves while helping leaders build environments rooted in trust and connection.

Image description: Madison Butler smiles warmly into the camera, her gaze direct and alive with intelligence. She wears a teal dress with a black Gucci belt at her waist. You can see a few tattoos poking out of her sleeves, and she has a couple of nose piercings, as well as blue-dyed hair. Her glasses match her outfit perfectly.

As the Founder of Blue Haired Unicorn and the creator of The Black Speakers Collection, Madison has reshaped how organizations think about belonging, representation, and the

future of work. LinkedIn has recognized her as a Top Black Voice to Follow, and her thought leadership has been featured in The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Rolling Stone, Forbes, and Business Insider. Madison’s goal is to educate people in power to make decisions that benefit those who’ve historically been ignored. She partners with companies of all sizes to help them cultivate cultures that prioritize humanity, transparency, and the psychological safety required for people to do their best work. A dynamic and fearless storyteller, Madison blends lived experience with practical insight to transform how teams communicate and support one another.

A Blue-Haired Unicorn in a Corporate World

Madison Butler’s goal is to educate people in power to make decisions that benefit those who’ve historically been ignored.

Madison’s debut nonfiction book, Let Them See You: Empowering Change Through Authenticity, explores the power of showing up unapologetically and the ripple effect authenticity creates across teams and organizations. You should absolutely pick up a copy and give it a read – I found it very insightful and would share it with my org’s leadership team, if I weren’t the entirety of the leadership team myself!

Let Them See You, Madison Butler's debut nonfiction title, is available now wherever books are sold!

What’s Madison up to next? Well, she just earned her ISSA personal trainer certification, and in addition to her DEI and education engagements, she’s moving towards a new type of work that helps her combine all of her passions and skills together. Think: a liberatory framework for joyful movement that accounts for the whole person, the whole human. A regular movement habit that inspires joy and satisfaction rather than guilt and shame. An environment of trust and connection where you can work towards your physical goals with support and encouragement from someone who gets it and sees you for who you are.

For now, you can catch Madison’s work on LinkyDink and Instagram, over at the Blue Haired Unicorn website, and across various social profiles for the Black Speakers Collection, Blue Haired Unicorn, and her personal work. Excited about the fitness and health pivot? Well, keep your eyes peeled for an announcement about new avenues to connect with Madison about THAT, coming soon…
